Baby yoga is a great way to bond with your baby, using touch, massage, songs and lullabies to promote the release of Oxytocin, the love hormone. The asanas (postures) help stimulate all your baby’s systems, increasing strength and enhancing flexibility to help encourage movement and natural development. Baby yoga can also help to relieve digestion issues (constipation, colic and wind) as well as help promote sleep.
Baby yoga is great for gentle post natal healing and realigning the pelvis. It assists with deep core strengthening in a safe way. It allows you time, to stretch and strengthen your body and check in with areas that might need more work. You can learn breathing techniques to aid relaxation and promote calmness, an invaluable tool for a new mother. Learn gentle asanas to relax you and ease those aches and pains.
£40 for a 6 week course. Classes are an hour long. No previous yoga experience necessary. Suitable for women post 6 week check up until babies are crawling.
